Ok, I know that we just passed the busy holiday season, but let’s chat about it. If you’re with me, there is nothing more magical than having a Christmas tree with lights on it to light up the cold winter days. It has been a tradition for me to put up Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. I think that decorating for the holidays can be more simplified. Sometimes just simple ornaments, white lights and things we find in nature can speak more than a house full of Christmas things we just throw up every year. I try to make it my purpose each year to only buy something new for Christmas if it really speaks to me and I can use it every year. I made the decision two years ago to buy an artificial tree ( king of christmas- LOVE LOVE LOVE). The decision wasn’t easy and I love having a real tree, up until mid january comes along and just looking at it, makes the pine needles fall off. I also believe that it is better for our world to not cut down so many trees. With that being said, not everyone is a tree person. I’ve curated my christmas finds over the years and have a mix of new and vintage finds. I love using faux swag and adding some simple velvet ribbon or a bowl of pinecones sitting on your coffee table. Touches of little christmas trees or that collection of vintage china or snowglobes. Light a fire and enjoy the holiday spirit in a way that reflects your personality in a home that feels comfortable and inviting.
