Once upon a time, I had this grand idea to build a deck out of wood pallets. With a long horizontal yard, I wanted to utilize the space in a way that was functional but also cool looking. I wanted an elevated area of seating so we could put a couch and some chairs and have friends over to enjoy the warm summer days. I leveled the ground I had in mind, found some good wood pallets and laid those down to the size of the deck I envisioned. We attached the pallets together and put some 16ft 2×6 pressure treated wood on the top. Once this was done, I painted it black and we were ready to party! It has been in our yard for about 8 years now and it’s held up wonderfully. It’s hosted birthday parties, celebrations and just ordinary evenings.
