When my client couldn’t take the darkness of the 1970’s kitchen, she reached out for a solution that would fit within her budget. We came up with a plan to update this kitchen by changing the backsplash, painting the cupboards, light fixtures and all new appliances.. We chose a gorgeous color, Meteorological, from Behr, as this color spoke to the client. I sanded the cupboards, fixed any cracks, and created a spray booth in my garage. My husband built a drying rack for all 38 drawer and cupboard faces. After a few weeks, this kitchen was ready to be put back together. I was able to get some simple globe light fixtures that were once in a Marimeko store. This kitchen looks amazing and is sure to endure the test of time.
